KITTING, BUNDLING & SUBASSEMBLY

TURN INDIVIDUAL SKUs INTO READY-TO-SHIP PRODUCTS

white gradient_edited_edited.png

WHAT IS KITTING, BUNDLING & SUBASSEMBLY?

Kitting is the process of combining multiple individual items into a single sellable unit before an order ever comes in - gift sets, multi-packs, promotional bundles, or subscription boxes assembled and ready to ship the moment an order hits. Subassembly goes a step further, combining components into a finished or semi-finished product (light assembly, labeling, or packaging that turns raw components into something sellable). Doing this work at the point of sale - pulling and assembling items order-by-order - is slow and expensive. Doing it in advance, in bulk, at the warehouse, turns a multi-step pick into a single-SKU pull.

We connect your brand with 3PL partners equipped to handle kitting and subassembly at your volume and complexity, so bundled products ship as fast as single-item orders.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN KITTING, BUNDLING & SUBASSEMBLY

  • Kit assembly — combining multiple SKUs into one sellable unit ahead of order volume

  • Subscription box assembly — recurring, often variable-content box builds on a fixed schedule

  • Promotional & seasonal bundling — holiday sets, limited editions, and campaign-specific bundles

  • Light manufacturing & subassembly — component assembly, labeling, and finishing work

  • Custom packaging & inserts — branded boxes, tissue, cards, and unboxing elements built into the kit

  • Inventory allocation — managing component-level stock separately from finished-kit stock to avoid phantom availability

  • Retail & wholesale kitting — case-pack and display-ready bundles for retail accounts

  • QC & assembly standards — consistent build quality across every kit, especially for multi-step assemblies

Warehouse Worker Lifting

WHO THIS IS FOR

  • Subscription box brands needing recurring, scheduled kit builds

  • Brands selling multi-item bundles, gift sets, or value packs alongside individual SKUs

  • Companies running seasonal or promotional bundles that spike volume for a limited window

  • Brands whose products require light assembly, labeling, or finishing before they're sellable

  • Retail and wholesale sellers needing case-pack or display-ready kits distinct from their DTC packaging

WHY MATCH INSTEAD OF LOCK IN

Kitting capability varies a lot between 3PLs - some can handle simple two-item bundles but not multi-component subscription boxes or light subassembly work, and the labor/space setup for kitting is different from standard pick-and-pack. We match your brand with a partner whose kitting capacity, component inventory management, and assembly standards fit your actual product complexity, rather than assuming any fulfillment center can bundle products as well as it ships single SKUs.
